1. I recently switched to Desktop 10.1, and there are features that I really enjoy, as you've already mentioned here. What perplexes me is that if I click on any AOL newstory or other link, the system just hangs in redirect. My 9.1 works fine, and Desktop originally did, but no more. This also happens if I go to a search with AOL, and then try to select one of the search results. Any ideas?

2. I recently decided to try aol desktop. I cant find where to turn off the "welcome- youv'e got mail" sound... can anyone helpe me?
also aol 9.0 had much better tools to insert photos into emails... is this feature hiding somewhere in aol desktop?

3. @Sara, the sounds can't be turned off on Desktop.
It has been a requested option, so maybe someday it will be added.
Inserting a picture in an e mail is as easy as right clicking the body of the e mail.

4. On Desktop, I used to see what was going on with my buddies, but no more. I found the "Buddy Blog" RSS feed, but when I click on it I get an error message that there's a problem, not well formed, or something like that. I can't find it right now to cut & paste. & what would I do with it if I found it & it worked?

7. Why did AOL stop saving my email addresses? It used to automatically remember the email address if I typed in the first few letters; now I can't remember the whole thing and AOL is not there to help me! How do I return to this setting? I am on 9.1. Should I return to 9.0?

8. I am using AOL Desktop, & recently the mail page/display stopped working. I have my master account setup to access 5 of the other accounts emails. Usually the page opens with tabs to access all 6 accounts emails. Now if I logon to ANY of the accounts, NONE of the emails (old, or new) show. Nor do I get the "You've got mail" voice when there is new mail upon logging on.
Can anyone tell me whats going on & how to fix this?

14. I downloaded AOL 10.1 today. I had a hard time adjusting to the new format. The big problem that I had was my personal file cabinet and mail was not available to me in any of my screen names. After using AOL help, I could not get the instruction they had given me to get the mail to transfer over. Even with the help of the transfer wizzard. I finally signed on to live help online and I found out that AOL is having issues with Service Pack 3. I was told to un-install SP3, un-install 10.1 and then re-install AOL. However, my automatic update came on and installed all that I had removed. I am leaving it alone and guess I will go back to AOL 9.1. It has been slow, hanging up plus other annoying issues. I had rather have the slow 9.1 instead of the bugs in 10.1. Has anyone had this problem?

15. I am using AOL Desktop. I must login (as one would expect) to seem my e-mail. However, without logging in, I can see all of my old mail, my sent mail, and my trashed mail. This seems like quite a security glitch. Anyone using my machine can see all my old mail? Is this a feature or a bug. If it is a feature, i will no longer be using AOL Desktop.

16. Sebastian, I'm not sure where you are seeing this mail.
I can't view any of my Mail by any means unless I'm signed in.
I tried it from the Mail icon on the toolbar, Mailbox on the Welcome Screen and Mail in Channels.
If you want e mail me to discuss further at SBSBJB@aol.com

17. Hello,
I am using AOL desktop with a Dell 1720 Laptop with Vista and have two issues. My email works fine except when AOL is running for awhile. When I try to send using my non aol email address ( my business email address) AOL says it's sending, but never sends. the sending screen just stays on trying to send.
My next issue is after my computer is on for awhile, AOL will not start. You click on the Icon and nothing happens. You get an hour glass for 15 seconds, but nothing. Once I restart my computer it works fine. Please help!!
