Hi all,
Do you have general questions about AOL Desktop or AOL 9.1?
Submit a comment in response to this thread with your question for the team to answer, or, if you happen to have the answer, feel free to answer a question with a comment of your own.
Don't forget to check out the "AOL Desktop FAQs" and other useful links in the "Resources" area to the right. These pages were designed to address the majority of common problems!
Thanks,
Laura

22. I'm having a problem with the AOL e-mail/AIM gadget for the Vista side-bar
I have a brand-new (out of the Dell box yesterday) Vista-64bit system for my 82-year old mother. And, since she's not good at checking e-mail, I thought that this gadget would be ideal to alert her when she has new messages. However, what I've found is that while it works perfectly after a reboot, about 30-60 minute later it just stops working and no-longer updates the number of in-box messages. Similarly, the 'go to my inbox' function stops working. There are no error messages, everything else seems to operate well, it's like the gadget itself is semi-frozen (but the 'fly out' does work).
Any thoughts?

23. I have the same problem.
Does anyone know how to get rid of aolsoftware-security warning?? Every 30 secs. this box appears and you HAVE to click either the X box on top right hand corner or have to click on "do not install" box in order to continue on. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
